The adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals in 2015 provided Susan Mizrahi, head of corporate responsibility at Australia Post, with an opportunity to refocus corporate responsibility to tie with expected national strategies for the implementation of the goals. While the national strategy has not taken off yet, it has not stopped Australia Post progressing with its objectives of using the SDGs as a framework for doing business.

For the eighth year, the G&A Institute research team has examined the ESG, Sustainability, Responsibility & Citizenship disclosure and reporting practices of the S&P 500® Index companies and determined for year 2018 that 86 percent of the almost 500 public companies were publishing reports in various formats for public viewing.

Erika Koss A native Californian, Erika now lives in Nairobi, Kenya, where she is Research Associate at the University of Nairobi. As a PhD candidate in the International, Development Studies program at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, her dissertation focuses on the need for climate resilience and gender equity for the East African coffee sector.
