The Food Sustainability Index (FSI), developed by Economist Impact with the support of the Barilla Center for Food & Nutrition Foundation (BCFN), measures the sustainability of food systems in 78 countries around three key issues outlined in the 2015 BCFN Milan Protocol and designed around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): food loss and waste; Sustainable agriculture; and nutritional challenges.
