The University of Leeds is running the project A Sustainable Circular Economy for Offshore Wind, which is co-funded by EPSRC, the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult and the Department for International Trade. The project aims to start integrating circular economy practices into the design, operation and end-of-use management of offshore wind infrastructure. Technocratic solutions to complex challenges won’t save us: research institutions and universities need to value and foster action-oriented knowledge and pluralism, and create the conditions for others to learn to do the same.
