Colt DCS hires Scott Balloch as new director of energy and sustainability

Colt Data Centre Services (DCS) has hired Scott Balloch as its new director of energy and sustainability, demonstrating its aim to become more energy efficient Colt DCS hires Scott Balloch as new director of energy and sustainability.  Bulloch previously served as a sustainability executive at BT.  As part of his role as energy and sustainability director, new Colt DCS hire Balloch will oversee the company’s global energy and sustainability strategy, ensuring that sustainability is a priority focus in all business operations, and that goals in this area are achieved.  Initiatives to be set out by Colt DCS for improving energy efficiency include global science-based targets for carbon reduction, and a stronger focus on renewable power supplies and waste.  Balloch will bring 12 years’ experience in energy and sustainability management, having previously served as director of the energy and environmental unit at BT, leading the company’s environmental risk and carbon programme.
