Carlson has achieved Friend of the Sea certification for its fish oils, according to a press release. Friend of the Sea, a global certification standard for products and services that respect and protect the marine environment, recognized Carlson for it’s commitment toward sustainability, the company announced. “Carlson is proud to partner with Friend of the Sea, an organization whose mission aligns with ours in respecting and protecting our oceans and waterways,” said Carilyn Anderson, President, Carlson. “We are committed to producing high-quality omega-3 products while prioritizing sustainability.”
The FAO has said that freshwater and ocean fisheries are at a crossroad and that the world needs a vision for sustainability for these food sources.
