Makers of 3D-printed guns operate by the motto, “Free men don’t ask permission.” They don’t ask the State for permission to bear arms. They don’t rely on gun manufacturers to make a gun that they’d like to see developed. The Giant’s Causeway has shaped the imagination and the storytelling of the North Antrim area for centuries so what better way to welcome our visitors and share this rich heritage of folklore and science of this iconic site than through our striking, yet sympathetically designed Visitor Centre. The centre, which was designed by Irish firm Heneghan Peng Architects, was opened in July 2012 and was designed to blend with the landscape whilst also reflecting the towering basalt columns of the volcanically formed Giant’s Causeway.
