Wastefront AS is today announcing an exclusive long-term project delivery partnership with Devaltec LLC, a project developer and solutions provider in new and sustainable energies. Devaltec, which was first introduced to Wastefront by Vitol in 2019, will now act as the primary strategic partner to Wastefront and will co-lead the development of all upcoming projects for the next 5 years. Devaltec is contracted to successfully deliver production from multiple plants of minimum 1000 MTD, commencing with Wastefront’s first waste tyre recycling plant in Sunderland, due for completion in 2023.

The Harbour City’s quest to become more green is being thwarted by a blue bin. Data collected by Recycle BC over the last two years in Nanaimo showed levels of improperly recycled materials and unrecyclable materials finding their way into the curbside blue recycling bins is increasing. Taaj Daliran, city manager of sanitation and recycling, told Council on Monday, July 6 there is still a great deal of confusion about recycling. “Some of this contamination is not actually contamination, it’s just mis-recycling. For example, some materials that are supposed to be taken to depots are put in our blue carts.”
Thus, it goes without saying, that soil organic matter not only improves food security due to higher yields, lower crop losses and better storage potential, but also food safety due to higher nutritional density and lower risk from pesticides, heavy metals, human pathogens.
