In 2018-2019, DARIAH focussed on the chronic problem of software and tool sustainability in the digital humanities, while also looking forward to the build phase of the Marketplace for data, tools and services. The DARIAH Theme call of 2018-2019 entitled ‘Strategic Service Sustainability for DARIAH’ attracted a high number of well articulated and competitive applications in the area of training, standardisation, datasets, geolocation and annotation services, thesauri and vocabularies, among others.

Falkirk Council to get £90m boost for sustainable economic recovery

Falkirk Council to get £90m boost for sustainable economic recovery The Scottish and UK Government have pledged £90m into Falkirk’s economy as part of the Falkirk Growth Deal today (July 21). The money will be used to drive and grow inclusive and sustainable economic recovery in the region over the next ten years, with targeted economic development across infrastructure, transport, innovation, energy transition and skills. £40m will come from the UK Government as part of the deal, which will be matched by the Scottish Government and added to, with an additional £10m investment to support green economic ambitions.
